On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, a cross-sectoral roundtable was held organized by an informal Green Parliamentary Group on the topic: Air Pollution - Current State and How to Solve It.
The topic of the panel discussion was the current state of air quality in the Republic of Serbia and the impact of air pollution on human health. The discussion was attended by Goran Trivan, Minister of Environmental Protection, Milenko Jovanovic, Head of the Air Quality Department at the Serbian Environmental Protection Agency, Andrej Sostaric of the City Institute of Public Health, Uros Rakic of the Institute of Public Health of Serbia, Mirjana Jovanovic of Belgrade Open schools on behalf of Coalition 27, Ivana Krstic, Secretary of the Secretariat for Environmental Protection of the City of Niš, Zvezdan Kalmar in front of Working Group 27 of the National Convention on the EU, moderated by Alexander Macura of the RES Foundation.
The implementation of the cross-sectoral roundtable was supported by the Office of the United Nations Development Program in Serbia (UNDP) as part of the project "Strengthening the Capacity for Enhanced Implementation of International Environmental Agreements", funded by the Global Environment Facility (GEF).
