XXVII Generation at Ljuba Popovic exhibition

23. Oct 2019.

Students of XXVII Generation of Future Studies visited retrospective exhibition of the painter Ljuba Popovic at SASA Gallery on October 18, 2019.At the exhibition, they had an opportunity to see more than 40 paintings of the celebrated artist, who got well-known as an artist in France. Through the conversation with the guide Biljana Jotic, students learned about the painter's life and work, techniques he had used and motives that inspired him.

Ljuba Popovic was one of the greatest collectors of Politikin zabavnik magazine. He said that if he was not an artist he would be preparing himself for the journey to Jupiter or Venus. His work represents a mixture of multiple styles and cannot be precisely categorized. His themes include, among others, the question of human essence and what remains in humans whatever changes the future brings.

The visit to the exhibition was organized as a part of extra-curriculum activities of the BOS Future Studies programme. The programme includes multidisciplinary knowledge and skills modules, Alumni2Students mentoring programme, internship programme, final project, and many side activities.
