Regional Discussion Forum in Vršac

03. Jul 2014.

In cooperation with the Municipal Administration of the Municipality of Vrsac Kraljevo, on July 2, 2014, a Regional Discussion Forum "Local Self-Government and Civil Society in the Process of Accession Negotiations for Serbia's EU Membership: Partnership for Responsible and Effective Implementation of EU Standards and Values" was held.

15 representatives of local self-governments and civil society organizations from 3 local self-governments from the South Banat and Central Banat District discussed the importance of establishing, promoting and the role of the Council for the promotion and protection of the environment in local self-governments throughout Serbia.
The regional discussion forum will also discuss the challenges of implementing local environmental standards adopted during the accession negotiations.
The project "I know how to act" is implemented by the Belgrade Open School in partnership with the European Movement in Serbia, the Center for Civil Society Development PROTECTA and UNECOOP. The project was financially supported by the Norwegian Embassy in Belgrade.
