The Second National Advisory Group Meeting within project ALMIT - Acceleration Of Labour Market Integration Of Immigrants Through Mapping Of Skills And Trainings was held on 11th of June in Belgrade Open School. The meeting was attended by representatives of Ministry of Labour, National Employment Service, Red Cross, Serbian Association of Andragogists, Adult Education Society, Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, as well as project team members from Belgrade Open School, Municipality of Šid and Philanthropy.
Project team presented ALMIT project, on going activites and plans for future activities on this project.
National Advisory Group Members gave positive feedback on previous activities, and Katarina Popović from Adult Education Society emphasized significance of good preparation of facilitators for realization educational activities on this project. After that, members of NAG discussed about importance of activities in local communities as mechanism of integration of immigrants who are currently staying in Serbia.
Danka Čančarević from Ministry of Labour talked about challenges of getting work permition for people who are included in ALMIT project, and importance of cooperation with National Employment Service. Ivan Topalović in the name of project team pointed out that focus in the next activities will be motivation of participants to improve their own competencies and soft skills which will be useful no matter where participants are currently staying and for how long are staying there. Beside that, representative of Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities, Aleksandar Popović, talked about similar projects and initiatives in Serbia.
ALMIT - Acceleration Of Labour Market Integration Of Immigrants Through Mapping Of Skills And Trainings project aims to find ways to facilitate the integration of migrants into the labor market and during the project, will be piloted several trainings of Serbian language, and civic and intercultural skills sessions. This project is funded by the European Union Programme for Employment and Social Innovation (EaSI).
