Belgrade Open School brings you the thirteenth edition of its monthly “Energy, Climate and Environment” newsletter.
In light of the dynamic development of public policies in the field of environment, climate change and energy - both at national and global level - we think it is important to keep up with trends for all of us interested in these issues. There are many sources of information, as well as events, and it is not always easy to keep track of all of them. We prepared for you the overview of the most important news and events in the previous month, at the level of Serbia, the region, the European Union and at the global level.
The IPCC Report inspired the European Parliament to propose ambitious climate goals. Climate change is proven to cause massive species extinction, which can only be tackled if one third of our planet is placed within some protection regime. Fight against hydropower project was the main trending topics in the region, accompanied with increased reliance on wind energy in Serbia.
These are some of the topics you can find out more about in the latest edition of our newsletter, which is available here. You can register for receiving the newsletter regularly on this link. The newsletter archive is available here.
