On Friday 7th December 2018. the students of the 26th generation had the opportunity to meet their respective mentors as a part of the Alumni2Students programme of mentorship. For the 4th year in a row, the programme matches students of the current generation with chosen BOS alumni. The Alumni will again this year be in the role of career and personal advisors for students of the 26th generation.
Coordinator of the BOS educational programmes, Danijela Grubnic, has had some kind of welcoming words to mentors, and menties, and in that way, she has officially marked the beginning of their shared journey.
The goal of the programme, besides networking, is to provide students with the support of more experienced and tested mentors. The mentors will help them with the challenges they are facing as a part of their personal, academic and professional development. Of course, this programme is twofold. The mentors will also be able to learn from their menties about the current trends and ideas which are relevant to young people of today. Trough student-mentor meetups, new friendships are created, and also, a stronger and more intense interaction within the BOS Alumni society is encouraged.
Programme manager of the Improvement of employability sector of BOS, Jelena Manic Radoicic, has held this year's meetup workshop once again. Mentors and menties had the chance to understand the mentorship programme, its goals, and also received some suggestions on how their A2S sessions might look like.
A2S programme is yet another activity through which BOS tries to empower students of its main educational programme, and give them the opportunity to learn and develop themselves with the help of their mentors, former students who have walked the same path on which the students are on now.
