Within the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Belgrade Open School on November 7th, 2018, at the Shopping Moll "Stadion", the diploma-awarding ceremony for representatives of the 25th generation of the educational programme Future Studies was held. The celebration of the anniversary gathered numerous friends of the Belgrade Open School who could recall, based on the celebration theme which was time-travel, what BOS has done in the past 25 years and what it continues to do for the society it belongs to.
A significant part of the celebration was the ceremonial awarding of the diploma to students of the 25th generation. The diplomas were awarded to students by Danijela Grubnic, coordinator of BOS's educational programmes. All students of the jubilee generation have successfully completed the Future Studies programme and thus became the youngest members of the BOS Alumni Network, which became richer for 24 new members and today has 1247 members.
In the year behind them, students of the jubilee generation had the opportunity to listen to over 45 lectures on various topics, learn from their mentors within the Alumni2Students mentoring program, attend psychological workshops, internship programmes... Some of them had the opportunity to develop team skills during the Teamwork Winter School, and their ideas gained during the academic year, all students have transferred to a final project that could be in the form of an academic essay, a case study or a policy paper. Some of the interesting topics of the final projects are "Are "false news "news", "New format of BOS events", "Pulp fiction stories: History in the wrong hands", "Elementary school, space without mobile phones"...
Educational program Future Studies has already begun for the students of the 26th generation. In the first semester, they will have the opportunity to learn about the skills of the future and gain knowledge about interesting topics within the module The future of the state and society. Alumni2Students mentoring programs and lots of other activities and challenges are expecting them soon.
