The pre-departure orientation session for students who will attend studies at the Central European University (CEU) in this academic year was held on Thursday, July 26, 2018, in Belgrade. This year, twelve students from Serbia will have the opportunity to continue their academic education at the CEU and spend one year on the master programs of this university. The event was organized in cooperation with the CEU Alumni Club in Serbia, with the assistance of the coordinator of the alumni cube Sara Pendjer.
The session was organized in order to connect CEU alumni from Serbia, primarily those who have studied at this university during the past academic year and future students. The alumni have shared their experiences, practical advice on experience in the capital of Hungary and recommendations regarding staying and working in the CEU campus. The alumni responded to a number of students' questions related to exams, applying for courses within the semester, administrative regulations, etc.
After the formal part of the discussion held in the premises of the Belgrade Open School, alumni and future students have continued their talk in an informal atmosphere.
Since 2003, the Belgrade Open School is a local CEU unit and thanks to the activities of BOS, so far more than 230 students have had the opportunity to continue their education at the Central European University in Budapest.
