Belgrade Open School brings you an overview of news in fields of Energy, climate and environment for February, through the sixth edition of "Energy, Climate and Environment" newsletter.
In February, the European Commission adopted a strategy for „A credible enlargement perspective for and enhanced eu engagement with the Western Balkans“. One of the new leading initiatives is also the initiative for better traffic and energy connectivity. New studies warn that the sum of all countries' national contributions to reducing greenhouse gas emissions is not sufficient to avoid warming for over 2 degrees globally. Proposals for solving the problem of waste disposal were current at the local and regional level, whiles air pollution due to the use of coal and wood from individual furnaces continues to cause environmental, health and economic costs.
You can get information about these and other interesting topics in the sixth number of newsletter "Energy, climate and environment", which can be downloaded here. Newsletter archive "Energy, Climate and Environment" is available on this link.
