On Wednesday, December 27th, 2017, students of the educational program "Future Studies" of the Belgrade Open School have successfully completed the fall semester, thus closing the Skills for the Future Module and the Future of the State and the Society Module. The fall semester is traditionally closed with the story of Africa, where Professor Zoran Cirjakovic took us on the journey to the Sub-Saharan African region with stories about cultural, social customs, political and economic events, as well as religious beliefs and rituals. The last month in the fall semester was opened by our alumni Dusan Mihajilovic with the topic of Online Communication and Reputation. Continuing on this topic, Milena Maksic from Ovation BBDO spoke with students about the reputation, both personal and the reputation of the companies and brands they create.
As the emphasis in this semester was on the fourth technological revolution, the students talked about the Future of the Workforce with our program manager for the improvement of employability Jelena Manic Radoicic, and Slobodan Bubnjevic and Daniel Polimac brought us closer to the challenges that new technological discoveries bring.
The future of the media, freedom of speech and democracy are some of the topics discussed by students with Stevan Ristic, CEO of the weekly Vreme.
We also paid attention to Emotional Intelligence that we talked about with professor Zoran Jolic Marjanovic, but also Social Intelligence and Networking where BOS's Director Vesna Djukic closed the Module of Skills for the Future with an interesting simulation. Within the Module of Skills for the Future, students had the opportunity to participate in the workshop on communication and presentation through Tango, with Dark Dozic from Tango Natural Belgrade, thus rounding out their learning about the skills that they will use in the future.
We finished this year with a small winter festivity, where students exchanged New Year's presents and wishes.
