From 16-17 November in Kastela Ecka, the Belgrade Open School organized Share & Envision event on the topic of Sharpening Leadership Skills. This event brought together representatives of senior and top management, from different companies: Confluence Property Management, Zlatiborac, BNI Serbia, Vojvodjanska banka, Japan Tobacco International and others.
The event was opened by Evica Kuc, business communication manager at the Belgrade Open School, and she introduced participants with the speakers of this event: Branko Greganovic, President of the Executive Board of NLB Bank, Peca Popovic, rock journalist, critic and publicist, Stanka Pejanovic, CEO Gorenja and Robert Coban, owner of publishing Color Press Groups. She pointed out that, as in the previous cycle, the Share & Envision event brought together selected and highly positioned managers, leaders who were willing to share their experiences with others and to extract algorithms for current and future trends in leadership from others' experiences.
The first day of the S&E event was opened by Branko Greganovic, President of the Executive Board of NLB Banka, and he explained to participants why understanding the culture of the organization in which we are working is a key precondition for successful management of our team and efficient management of our position in the organization. Taking into account the fact that the outcome of an organization depends on its collective capacity and identity, Branko has revealed to us how much of probability or dedication all individuals have to give for the team for achieving 0.6% or 95% of the planned results.
Unmistakable Peca Popovic shared with the participants the never-ending story of the leaders who created and changed the musical industry of the 20th century. Who is a professional soldier, and who is a mechanic, how and why they, and many others, marked the domestic and international show-biz scene and left an indelible mark on the creation and design of the music scene. This time, we were also in the company of the pianist of the extraordinary voice Iva Ikon, who, now traditionally, with her incredible musical talent, has made the participants enjoy the pleasant atmosphere with the glass of wine.
"Managers are like conductors. How many applause, in the end, they get that’s how much they worth" said Stanka Pejanovic, who opened her Team Management Session on the second day of S&E. With participants through 4 personal stories describing her professional experience, she talked about teams and leadership and the challenges she had in her personal and professional development.
Robert Coban, owner of the Color Press Group, is one of the few who have managed to overcome obstacles in years of (dangerous) and exciting life, and who has unselfishly shared with the participants of this event his vast experience of rising and falling. At the last closed session, Share and Dare, the participants shared their personal experiences on the challenges and dilemmas they encountered in their professional career and what is the best thing that happened in their careers so far.
The General Director of the Belgrade Open School, Vesna Djukic, presented the certificates to the participants, thus making this Share & Envision event closed.
