About four freedoms of the EU at the Conference in Slovenia

Ten teachers from six high schools in Serbia, participated in study visit to Lendava, Slovenia, which was held from 23rd to 25th of October 2017. Study visit was organized by the Belgrade Open School in the scope of project “Debate on the future of the four freedoms of the EU: Freedoms of the EU”.

Participants of the study visit participated in conference about four freedoms of the European Union. Conference was opened by the Mayor of Lendava and after that representatives of partner organizations from Hungary, Romania, Austria, Slovenia and Serbia presented their experiences gained during the implementation of the project.  In this part of conference Bojana Jevtovic, Project Coordinator on the Improvement of Employability program in the BOS, spoke to gathered participants about problems of young people in Serbia and ways of overcoming those problems. In second part of conference participants had opportunity to hear experiences of students who engaged in student’s exchange programs.   

During study visit, teachers visited bilingual high school in Lendava, where students are thought in Hungarian and Slovak language. During discussion with school principal, professors had opportunity to exchange experiences and compare Serbian educational system with one in Slovakia.

The previous event within the project "Debate on the future of the four freedoms of the EU: Freedom of the EU" was held on August 21st in Heviz, Hungary. Final conference will be held on 15th of November in Eisenstadt, Austria. The project is managed by Municipality of Hevic (Republic of Hungary) in partnership with the Belgrade Open School, Municipality Hargit District of the Republic of Macedonia, the Municipality of Lendava (Republic of Slovenia) and the organization Foster Europe (Burgenland, Republic of Austria), and is supported by the European Union cultural policy through the "Europe for Citizens and Citizens" program. The project will last from November 1st, 2016, to November 30th, 2017. More information is available at the following website: http://eu3doms.eu.
