Discussion forum held "Opening new chapters in the process of EU accession negotiations - step forward and a look back"

The Belgrade Open School (BOS) organized the discussion forum "Opening new chapters in the process of negotiations on Serbia's EU accession - a step forward and a look back" within the initiative "Let's talk about Negotiations" on May 25, 2016, with the support of the Foundation for an Open Society Serbia. At the EU Info Center in Belgrade.

The goal of the event was to review the current experiences and practices that marked the ongoing process of accession negotiations with the European Union (EU), with particular reference to the participation and contribution of civil society, transparency of the process and informing the public. Through this conversation, the focus was on the negotiating chapters in which the progress was made the most and the opening of the chapters which was announced in the following period: Chapter 23 (Judiciary and Human Rights), Chapter 24 (Justice, Freedom and Security) and Chapter 5 (Public Procurement).

Speakers at the discussion were: Milan Antonijević from the YUCOM Committee of Lawyers for Human Rights, Dragan Dobrasinović from the Toplica Center for Democracy and Human Rights, Danijela Božović from the Belgrade Open School, Bojan Elek from the Belgrade Center for Security Policy and Miodrag Milosavljević from the Fund for Open Society Serbia. Discussion forum was moderated by Antonela Riha.
