The Council for the Civil Society Development - the most votes for BOŠ

The Commission of the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue – formed for the selection of civil society organizations for membership in the Council for the creation of a stimulating environment for the development of civil society – conducted the selection of candidates for membership in the Council and will propose 11 members (and 11 deputy members) with the most votes to the Government of Serbia for this body.

Most votes got candidates of Belgrade Open School -  public policy advisor Vladimir M. Pavlović and project manager EU Resource Center for Civil Society in Serbia Bojana Džulović.

We remind you that at the proposal of the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, the Government of the Republic of Serbia adopted in February 2022 the Strategy for the creation of a stimulating environment for the development of civil society in the Republic of Serbia for the 2022-2030, and then a two-year Action Plan for its implementation. A key activity of the Strategy is the establishment of the for the creation of a stimulating environment for the development of civil society, as an advisory body of the Government, which will represent a mechanism for strengthening the principles of participation, openness and inclusiveness in the process of creating public policies. The Council will have an equal number of representatives of civil society and representatives of state administration and decision-makers. The establishment of the Council is planned in September 2023.

Voting took place in June (from 23 to 30) 2023. There were no objections from candidates during the provided period, so the Ministry will propose to the Government for membership in the Council the following eleven civil society representatives with the highest number of votes received from civil society organizations:
