EU Resource Center Info Day: New Opportunities for Civil Society in Serbia

08. May 2023.

At the info days that will be organized in five cities and municipalities in Serbia, we will discuss the opportunities that the new project "EU Resource Centre for Civil Society in Serbia" will provide to representatives of civil society in the next four years, as well as the challenges that civil society faces in its daily work. Join us at events in Užice, Niš, Bor, Jagodina, and Novi Sad!

In the week ahead, from May 9 to 15, we are organizing "EU Resource Centre Info Days," a series of events in five cities and municipalities in Serbia, with representatives of civil society. The primary goal of the meetings is to present the opportunities that the project provides to representatives of the civil sector. In addition, the info days will be an opportunity to gather additional information about the needs of civil society in different regions of Serbia in order to adapt the activities and directions of the project to the defined needs.

The Belgrade Open School, together with partners: Novi Sad School of Journalism, Užice Child Rights Center, ENECA, Young Farmers of Serbia, Safe Paths Association, New Planning Practice, and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, and with the support of the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia, is implementing a four-year project under the name "EU Resource Center for Civil Society in Serbia". The EU Resource Center for Civil Society in Serbia is a place of support for representatives of civil society working to bring Serbia closer to the European Union. In the next four years, we will help the growth and development of organizations and informal groups of citizens through the improvement of their capacities, networking, and financial support. Through financial and mentoring support, as well as a capacity-building program, the EU Resource Centre for Civil Society in Serbia will strengthen at least 300 civil society organizations and 280 informal groups.

The EU Resource Centre Info Days will be held in five different cities from May 9 to 15, 2023, according to the following schedule:

May 9: Užice, in the City Cultural Center, starting at 11:00 a.m.

May 10: Niš, in the DELI space, starting at 11:00 a.m.

May 11: Bor, in the Media Center, starting at 5:00 p.m.

May 12: Jagodina, in the premises of the Red Cross, starting at 3:00 p.m.

May 15: Novi Sad, at the OPENS Youth Center OPENS, starting at 5:00 p.m.

The events will be organized as a discussion. Join us in the city closest to you and contribute to the development of a strong and resilient civil society in Serbia!
