Belgrade Open School, with the support of the European Union delegation in Serbia, organized a three-day initial meeting within the framework of support for civil society organizations. The meeting was attended by 21 organizations that are part of the second cycle of the Dialogue of Changes project.
The participants of the meeting had the opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge on important aspects of project planning, implementation, and evaluation. A special focus is placed on the communication strategies of a good project plan as well as the financial management of projects. The mentoring support program, which will be implemented by the Center for Public Policy, one of the partners in the "Dialogue of Change" project, was presented to the partners.
The meeting was opened by Ekmel Čizmecioglu, representative of the EU delegation in Serbia, and Milorad Bjeletić, executive director of BOŠ. On that occasion, a ceremony was organized to award the partnership contract within the project.
Improving the lives of all citizens and solving problems of general social importance implies the involvement of all interested actors in the civil and public sectors. The process of adopting and improving public policies implies the active participation of the civil sector, which provides thematic expertise in certain areas of social life. In partnership with public authorities, CSOs participate in creating public policies to solve specific problems in the community by identifying priorities in creating laws and regulations tailored to citizens.
Mentoring and financial support are implemented within the project "Dialogue of changes - support for reforms through the cooperation of civil society organizations and public authorities". The project is supported by the Delegation of the European Union in Serbia, and will be implemented in the period from 2021 to 2023 in partnership with the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, the Republic Secretariat for Public Policies, the Center for EU Public Policies of the University of Belgrade, the Olof Palme Center as well as the Office for NGOs of the Government of the Republic of Croatia.
