The presentation of the guide "Initiatives for a Sustainable Future - Innovative Approaches for Cooperation between the Civil and Business Sectors"

09. Dec 2021.

The presentation of the guide "Initiatives for a Sustainable Future - Innovative Approaches for Cooperation between the Civil and Business Sectors", will be hosted by the Belgrade Open School, on December 15, 2021. The event will be held online, commencing at 12:00 and will last until 13:30.

Despite numerous challenges, representatives of both civil and business sector, undoubtedly recognize opportunities for joint action to achieve strategic social and political goals, aimed at decision-makers. Companies acknowledge that support they receive by the civil society organizations can be regarded as a bridge to citizens. Civil society is better perceived and respected by the general public when backed-up by influential business world.

Within the project "Civil Society as a Force for Change in Serbia’s EU Accession Process", the Belgrade Open School set an innovative framework and raised awareness of the importance of cooperation between business and civil society, which is also the goal of the guide - to encourage as many civil society organizations and companies to a long-term cooperation.

Following the current global and European trend of inter-sectoral cooperation, the Belgrade Open School wants to improve this cooperation, emphasizing the important role that business and civil society representatives play in the process of Serbia's reforms, on the road towards the European Union.

During the guide presentation, focus will be on specific ways of developing joint initiatives and discuss good practices, supported by the Belgrade Open School.
