On December 3, BOS Alumni lecture Communicator=Gladiator on nonverbal communication was held. The lecture was an opportunity for alumni network members to learn useful tricks and tips for nonverbal communication and hear about its specifics.
The lecturer was Marko Stojanovic, actor, mime artist, and public relations consultant. In an interesting and funny talk with the audience, he presented the basics of nonverbal communication, its uses and significance. From various postures, handshake types and face expressions, Marko illustrated them through meaningful examples.
He pointed out that at the foundation of every communication, including the nonverbal one, there is the question of our self-confidence and that communication is based on receiving, processing and sending out messages. Additionally, the lecturer showed numerous useful exercises for the improvement of nonverbal communication.
During the discussion with the audience, Marko explained how the pandemic and face masks impact and shape our nonverbal communication.
The lecture was organized as part of regular BOS alumni events on which alumni network members have an opportunity to learn on various subjects, engage and share experiences.
